We cite our sources
Every product's technical values come from the manufacturer's datasheet, product page or user manual. Any field without a source is marked "estimated" — never hidden.

Independent ESL comparison platform
Compare 55 electronic shelf label models from 25 manufacturers against the same criteria. Get a recommendation for your store, and calculate payback period and total cost in minutes.
Press a button and watch how the labels update.
A simulation. In real installations an update takes anywhere from under a second to a few minutes, depending on the protocol — protocol comparison.
Live calculation from catalogue data
Change your label and access point counts to see how the duration shifts by protocol. Panel draw times are medians of catalogue records — for these protocols every record is an estimate derived from vendor claims, not a measurement.
Transfer rates are typical values for the protocol class, not a commitment.
Live audit from the catalogue
On manufacturer sites the hero opens with "so many million labels deployed". On an independent platform the counterpart is this: every technical field in the catalogue is counted as sourced or estimated, and published here.
The ranking shows how verifiable the record is, not how good the product is.

Scale comparison
In manufacturer catalogues labels sit in renders with no sense of shelf scale. Here the label is drawn at the same scale as a bank card — the ratio holds on every device, with no screen calibration.
Dimensions are computed from the diagonal and pixel ratio; models without a recorded resolution are not listed.

Market window
No manufacturer site shows prices, so a buyer cannot tell where a single quote sits in the market. What is published here is not an exact price but a distribution: observations compiled from public list prices, with their sources.
No exact prices are published. Observations are list prices, not quotes; VAT status is flagged per source.
How we work
This platform accepts no commission, listing or promotion fees from any manufacturer. Products are ranked by how well they match your needs. The source of every technical value, and which fields are estimated, is stated openly on each product page.
Every product's technical values come from the manufacturer's datasheet, product page or user manual. Any field without a source is marked "estimated" — never hidden.
Manufacturers do not publish list prices. So we show a price band rather than an exact figure. Real pricing depends on your project, volume and exchange rate.
For every manufacturer we list what to watch out for alongside their strengths. If a product doesn't fit your needs, the advisor shows it as a warning.
The basics
An ESL replaces the paper price tag on the shelf with an e-paper display updated wirelessly from a central server. The moment the price changes at the till, it changes on the shelf — with no human involvement.
Draws power only while the image changes. It holds the image even when powered off and reads like paper in direct sunlight.
2.4 GHz proprietary protocol, BLE, Sub-1 GHz or infrared. Communicates via ceiling-mounted access points.
4–10 years depending on model. Update frequency, colour count, LED use and ambient temperature all affect it directly.
Price, stock and promotion data flow automatically from your ERP, POS or PIM. A template engine lays out the label.
Coverage
Impartial coverage from Tier-1 enterprise players to value-segment manufacturers. 13 manufacturers have products in the catalogue; 12 have open profiles with data collection in progress. We also publish what we don't yet cover.
Catalogue
A selection that differs deliberately in segment, size and use case.

Enter your store count, label volume, price-change frequency and staff cost; annual savings, total investment, payback period and five-year net gain are calculated instantly. The model is deliberately conservative — assumptions are not inflated to make the numbers look good.
Define your needs in seven questions; all 55 models are scored and the best matches are listed with a match rate and the reasoning.
